The world lore- development

 Continent ideas:

War-torn land, runic based magic system (runes powered by magic words. These magic words give each rune a different effect. Language is a forgotten one of the gods, only words really known are those that create known spells.

Rune types-

Basic elements, fire, water, earth and air (the runes giving a level of control over each element, the stronger the mage, the stronger the effect.

“burst” magic, a rune that creates an explosion, can be used in combat against enemies (dealing fire damage and sending enemies flying) or as a form of traversal to other areas if the trajectory is worked out right.

Love magic- 2 types of this magic, the first is normal love magic. Pure love, when the spell comes from “deep in a person’s heart” it creates a strong magical barrier that can protect those who it is used on, love magic becomes tainted if used solely on oneself, and will instead turn from a pink color to an explosive orange, the barrier becoming an unstable mess and now dealing damage to enemies AND the person it is protecting. All dependent on the intention of the user.

Lust Magic- A much darker and sometimes stronger magic than love magic, lust magic is used by mages to typically take control of people’s action and captures the theme of lust in every possible form, not just the typical “sexual desires” way. This is a very deadly type of magic that leaves practically no traces visible to the human eye.

“The last stand”-

The unborn-

Men and women, who as children were killed and brought back by a loved one after making a deal with whatever god they could. The unborn are basically a god's slave, the men and women who are put on the planet to carry out their bidding. Each god will have different goals for their unborn, and the stronger a god is, the more lives their unborn are given. Every unborn has at least 3 lives, each life ended basically adds on age (magic effect) until they reach the age of about 40 years old (physically) Some unborn can gain the ability to change their age at will (Those who serve under the god of life and perhaps the goddess of death)

Unborn can use all forms of runic magic, with each being stronger at the kind of magic their god created (Goddess of fire would be fire, God of the oceans would be water etc.) The strongest unborn can live 9 lives, getting within their peak strength at around death number 5 or 6. The weakest stay at the same level and live for 3 lives.

Distatum Ultimatus” The final spell of an unborn, when on the brink of death, they can speak these words to give them an immense power boost, however the moment these words are uttered, their fates are sealed.

Unborn generations

The first Generation- This is the tale of the “Original seven” and includes the battle where the Draconis (Draconisi plural) race all fell, leaving only the Draconal brood left (Draconal being the dragonborn of this race, biproduct of other races having children)

Notable unborn (Update when more ideas arrive)-

Joseph River- God of life- Mainly goes by Talberd, aka Ebion derived from ‘Bion’ an ancient Greek word meaning life

Jackson River (son of Joseph)- goddess of death- Marelia

Osric of house Redrun- Chaos- Aidus

Maria Leton- Goddess of fire- Hakkena

Races-

Alenki- humans, can be of any color/Irl race. Also any height etc.

Forokna- this version of orcs, hulking brutes, like much bulkier humans but with razor sharp metal teeth (these are the enemy orcs)

Forokni- The player character orcs, a race that have split off from the hivemind of Forokna, beginning to take a completely different look etc. (Much closer to a half-orc)

Draconal Brood- A race of half breeds that have lasted seven generations after one of their parent races fell to the Gyrashi

Dvalts- This world’s dwarf equivalent, the only race to have weapons beyond those that are primitive. Many are great inventors (Split into seven factions)

Tarvanki- A race of cat-like beings, essentially a slave race. They were given a barely habitable desert, magically enhanced

Noble families-

House Redrun- One of the five great noble houses of the human colonies (House of Legends)- Notable members include;

Arianne Redrun- Wife of Osric, co-head of house, Osric’s scribe. A lot of titles, she’s the brains.

Osric Redrun- head of the house, member of the 9th generation.

Alastair Redrun- Osric's first-born son

Alaric Redrun- Osric's third born child, second-born son

Orianna Redrun- Osric's second-born child, only daughter.

House Mansa- the most “modern day normal” of these groups (House of Finance)

Hugh Mansa- “goes by Hugh Man.” speak in that normal boring voice. Head of the Mansa family

Winnifred Mansa- a woman in an arranged marriage with the most boring man alive. Clearly not a very love filled marriage

House Jarahdt- live in a fortified city (House of Military and Healing)

Zashen Jarahdt- head of house Jarahdt

House Feronis- House of mining

Jackson ‘King’ Feronis- A young looking gentleman, wears breathing apparatus after an ‘incident’ in one of his mines. The strength of humanity is its want for survival. And we do whatever we can to get what we want.”

House (redacted+)- House of Agriculture

“Current time” is 315 AGF (After Gyrashi Fall)

0 AGF was the year the Gyrashi was trapped by “The eight Rulers”

War lasted about 1 year, 1 BGF was when it started

Last known remnants of ancient history stop at about 1095 BGF talking of “Lands of green” and “Utopian societies” suggesting a possible more modern society in the times before the Gyrashi

Areas-

The orc kingdoms-

Foronkal- the Forokna main city. A savage place. Primitive looking with somewhat advanced looking weapons. Metal walls as high as the trees

Foroknil

The Red towers-

Huge, ruined towers scattered across the land, magical obelisks within the center of each, every one of them has some sort of magical property associated with them. Nobody has been able to figure out their uses. All that has been linked is an extract from a text just after The Draconisi fall. 6 towers across the land (EACH CONNECTING TO ONE ANOTHER)

“When the Draconisi vanguard fell, destruction was caused across the land. The most noticeable destruction being where their champions fell, leaving towering craters and from bowels erupted the towers.”

The Plane hoppers-

A way of linking expansions, these plane hoppers are people that have somehow accessed the barriers between planes, this will alter dependent on the person, with some plane hoppers accidentally crossing planes due to magical “accidents” that some claim to be the will of some unseen god, and some combining magic and science to figure out a way of breaching the barriers precisely.

The traveler's rest-

An interdimensional tavern, home to any and all races native to Soladrin. Created by a mysterious gentleman named Talberd, this tavern appears on every single island within Soladrin. The tavern is co-owned by his wife “Mara (means death, name is hinting at true identity/being the goddess of death)

More worlds;

Underwater world, inspired by the lost city of atlantis

Earth-omega, name of the world in my book (home to the city in the ‘My dearest’ series)
